Frequently asked questions

Do I need permits or licences to install solar panels at my home?
In Spain, residential self-consumption installations require a series of procedures that vary depending on the autonomous community and the installed power. In general, minor works permits, authorization from the electricity distributor, and the legalization of the installation by an authorized installer are required. At Innovadoras, we guide you throughout the entire process so you don’t have to worry about the paperwork.
Are Solis inverters compatible with LithTech batteries?
Yes, LithTech high-voltage batteries are compatible with the hybrid Solis inverters in our range. This combination makes it possible to manage energy storage efficiently, prioritising self-consumption and reducing dependence on the power grid. If you have any questions about component compatibility, our technical team will advise you with no obligation.
Can I expand my solar installation in the future?
Of course. A well-designed photovoltaic system is scalable. You can add more panels, incorporate a battery, or expand the existing storage capacity. The important thing is that the inverter has enough capacity, or that this expansion is planned from the initial design. At Innovadoras, we plan each project with your future growth in mind.
What type of solar cabling is used and why is it important?
Solar cabling must be specifically designed for photovoltaic installations, with certification for direct current and resistance to weathering and UV rays. We use H1Z2Z2-K solar cable in 4 mm² and 6 mm², which complies with European standards and ensures the safety and efficiency of the installation over the long term. Inadequate cabling can lead to energy losses and electrical risks.
What regulations apply to solar installations in the Valencian Community and Murcia?
Photovoltaic installations must comply with the Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulations (REBT) and the self-consumption regulations governed by Royal Decree 244/2019. In addition, depending on the municipality, urban planning permits and tax incentives such as a reduction in IBI may be required. At Innovadoras, we are familiar with local legislation and help you take advantage of all available benefits.
Can I install solar panels myself or do I need an installer?
You can assemble the mounting structure and place the panels yourself, and our shop stocks all the components. However, in Spain the electrical connection and the legalisation of a self-consumption system must be carried out and signed off by an authorised installer (boletín/CIE). Without that certificate you cannot legalise the installation or qualify for surplus compensation. Many customers buy the material from us and hire only the electrical work and legalisation.
My solar installation is not yet legalised — who can arrange that?
Innovadoras legalises photovoltaic installations, including those built by another company or by yourself. A technician inspects the system, verifies it meets the REBT regulations, issues the electrical certificate (CIE) and handles the self-consumption registration with the grid operator and the regional authority. This gives you a legal installation, entitled to surplus compensation and covered by insurance. Send us your installation details and we will prepare a legalisation quote.
What is legalisation of a solar installation and why is it required?
Legalising means officially registering your installation with the authorities and the electricity company. In Spain it is mandatory for self-consumption: it certifies the installation is safe (meets the REBT), lets you export and offset surplus energy, and avoids penalties. The process includes the electrical certificate (CIE), the technical report, the installation certificate and the self-consumption registration. Innovadoras handles all the paperwork for you.
